The International Grains Council increased the forecast for world grain production in 2018/19 MY by 32 million tons to 2,121 million tons compared with the previous forecast (2089 million tons). World grain trade will be 367 million tons, which corresponds to the results of 2017/18 MY.

For the first time in the history of Ukraine, within 5 agricultural receipts, creditors initiated a procedure of compulsory execution. Helen Fairlemb, the Head of the Project IFC “Agrarian Receipts in Ukraine”, explained the appearance of the first cases of enforced execution by the human factor. The three main innovative priorities of Ukrainian agricultural producers are precision farming, land management innovations and ERP management systems for the company. Compared with January 2018, the average monthly wage in agriculture of Ukraine increased by 23%. This fact indicates a systematic and continuous development of the industry.

According to Oil World experts, in January 2019, China significantly increased the import of sunflower meal to 330.2 thousand tons, which is 150 times higher than in the same period last year, which was only 2.2 thousand tons. This is reported by APK-Inform. At the same time, it is specified that almost the entire specified volume of the product was delivered to the PRC from Ukraine (329.9 thousand tons).

According to a survey conducted by the American analytical agency Allendale Inc., in 2019, US farmers plan to reduce wheat acreage by almost 3% to 47.4 million acres (19.18 million hectares) against 47.8 million acres (19.35 million hectares) in 2018, which, however, is higher than the USDA forecast of 47 million acres (19.02 million hectares). On March 19 2019, the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 710 on introducing changes to the Procedure for maintaining the State Land Cadastre entered into force, according to which an application for registration of a land plot will be submitted online. In order to prevent violations during the state registration of land plots, a decree introduces online monitoring of the consideration of all types of applications that are processed in the State Land Cadastre.

In 2018, Agroliga Group received € 5.75 million of net profit, which is 38.2% more than in 2017. According to the report, the company’s revenue amounted to € 21.65 million (2017 – € 21, 69 million). Gross profit in 2018 compared with 2017 increased by 1.7% – to € 6.06 million, operating – by 45% to € 5.98 million.
